This course combines the rigorous methodologies of systematic reviews and meta-analyses. It involves structured approaches to identifying, evaluating, and synthesizing research evidence and statistically combining the results of multiple studies to derive pooled estimates of effect sizes or associations.
Participants will learn the steps involved in systematic reviews, including defining research questions, developing inclusion and exclusion criteria, conducting extensive literature searches, and performing qualitative synthesis. They will also gain expertise in statistical methods used in meta-analyses, such as data extraction, heterogeneity assessment, and result interpretation.
